Taking opportunities to progress SRHR education to Sheria Kiganjani staff

During the 2025 Annual Staff Retreat for Sheria Kiganjani, a dedicated Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) session was delivered to support open, informed, and respectful conversations around sexual health and wellbeing in the workplace.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Selemani Mbyallu, CEO of AXIS Health Consultancy, a medical doctor and public health expert with extensive experience in SRHR education and health systems strengthening. The discussion focused on providing accurate, evidence-based information in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Key topics included human sexuality, common sexual health concerns, and practical guidance on safe sex and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Participants also explored issues of menstrual hygiene and menstrual health management, emphasizing dignity, access to information, and supportive workplace attitudes. In addition, the session covered cervical cancer, highlighting risk factors, prevention strategies, and the importance of screening and early detection.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to raise questions on a wide range of SRHR topics, encouraging open dialogue and clarification of concerns. This engagement helped reinforce understanding and empowered staff to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
Through this session, AXIS Health Consultancy reaffirmed its commitment to promoting rights-based SRHR education, building organizational capacity, and supporting healthier, informed communities through evidence-driven dialogue and professional expertise.
From Data to Dialogue: How AXIS Brought Technical Depth to DocKtaa

AXIS Health Consultancy has been a key technical partner in supporting the DocKtaa Program, an innovative edutainment platform dedicated to improving community health awareness through engaging and relatable storytelling. DocKtaa combines education and entertainment by interviewing people from different communities on current health topics and emerging trends, then transforming their perspectives into informative, culturally grounded discussions that inspire healthy behavior.
Endorsed by the Ministry of Health (MoH), the program has earned national recognition as a trusted source of health information that connects expert knowledge with real community voices. As the technical brain behind the initiative, AXIS Health Consultancy has provided strategic and scientific direction to ensure that all content shared through the platform is both accurate and aligned with Tanzania’s health policies and guidelines. Our team was involved in developing and reviewing episode topics, validating the medical facts presented, translating complex health information and ensuring compliance with ethical and clinical standards.
Beyond content validation, AXIS has contributed to capacity building within the DocKtaa team—training presenters and producers on effective health communication, misinformation management, and audience engagement. Through continuous technical oversight, we have helped the platform maintain its credibility while expanding its reach across multiple media channels. This partnership has positioned DocKtaa as a powerful bridge between public health institutions and the community, and reaffirmed AXIS Health Consultancy’s role as a trusted leader in evidence-based health communication and community engagement.

Our team leads the project management functions, coordinating with healthcare facilities, laboratories, and local authorities to maintain efficient workflows and reliable data systems.
